Sometimes the simplest outings are the most rewarding. On November 23, 2021, I had a list of errands to run, so off I went!
My running around outfit consisted of a favorite turtleneck, a lovely sweater, black skinny jeans and boots. Complete comfort!
The first stop was to pick up out turkey breasts for Thanksgiving at Honeybaked Ham. There was a sizeable line. I stood in line with many others, chatted with some, joked with others, me being me an absolute nonissue.
I then headed to the first of my two favorite clothing exchanges where I swapped five dresses for two sweaters. New stuff and a wardrobe reduction, win-win!
Then I headed to the other one and swapped another dress and a top for another sweater. There a young man asked how I enjoyed being in Wheat Germ (the Netflix movie). We were both in the same scene and he remembered me (yeah, I know, I kind of stand out). We chatted quite a bit and it ends up he is now taking the same improv class that I had. I shared pictures of my class with him and we talked a bit. How wonderful!
Then I need to get my license plates on the truck renewed, so I took care of that. My errands wrapped up at the liquor store for a holiday bottle. Throughout the day, I chatted with folks and no one showed me anything but kindness. Simple is better!
I am published in the above magazine. Taking a shot to see if it leads to anything.
