I have been trying to put an outfit together like this song for a long time and then it happened! Here is a short skirt and a long jacket!
March 4, 2023, the first Friday of the month, so you know what that means? The monthly party at the world class Cleveland Museum of Art! Me, a big part of it!
I enjoyed the preparation process on this rainy day.
And I was thrilled with the evening. I have no great tale to spin, just a whole bunch of compliments, quite a few drinks, a number of hugs and a wonderful evening!
There are days you feel almost powerful with your presentation. Days where no one can question that you are indeed a fashionable woman, days where you are openly admired for how you look. There are days where you cannot doubt that you are special, that this “gift” was meant for you. This was one of those days. I felt above judgement, questioning, doubt. I felt exactly right, exactly beautiful, exactly amazing. My smile, which you are probably sick of by now, was bigger, brighter, happier. It was a fabulous evening!
I will be at Keystone again this week. If you are going, reach out. Find me! I want to give any Kandi’s Land reader a big hug and if you want, the first drink is on me!
Kandi’s Land Update: Awesomeness is forthcoming! I had a meeting last week with the amazing woman reimagining this place and she blew me away! April 1 is the planned launch date. You may have noticed some subtle changes and many more are coming. We will look more like a buffet of options than the newspaper-like format we now have. Our amazing Contributors will be featured even more and many of the great pieces currently buried in the archives, will be more readily available. I will also be looking for your input. In the opposite of “Field of Dreams”, if you will come, I will build it.

HOWEVER, as a bouncer I don’t think you make the cut. I just can’t see such a gorgeous feminine woman physically enforcing the ‘no food or drink beyond this point should some dastardly person try to get by with drink in hand. But if this is not the case, then I apologize profusely and humbly request your forgiveness. Because I want to keep my prettiness 😂

It’s funny, I have been doing this for about six years (with that pesky pandemic thing shutting us down for a while) and now I just have to look at people and they smile spin around to finish their cocktail. If I had to give all of my Kandi activities up but could keep just one, this would be it! Thanks my beautiful friend!!
