Easter Sun-Dee, Part Two

When you start your day early with a 6:30 AM sunrise service and then breakfast, that leaves still a lot of the day to do something. As it was a nice day, and Michelle and I were dressed nicely, we went searching for a good place to have a photo shoot (one of us used to be a model, but it wasn’t me).

We started by driving around Forest Park, home of the 1904 World’s Fair. Even though it was Easter, there was a car show going on, so lots of people. We couldn’t find a suitable spot, so we headed to downtown St. Louis instead, and found a spot in the Gateway Mall downtown.

Springtime meant flowers and green grass so we had fun backdrops, besides in iconic Arch. Plus, Michelle is her own kind of backdrop. She asked me for some silly poses, and when she asks, I try my best. For her, it comes naturally. 

After the photos–pictures are worth a thousand words, right?–we returned to Michelle’s house. We changed into walking gear, loaded into Zee Zee, Michelle’s personalized Bronco (Michelle names all her cars; her other one is “Sugar”), along with her black lab Harley, and headed to a local park to walk off our breakfast. We walked about three miles. Harley took a few dips in the lake, so he was more eager than us (it wasn’t a swimming lake, except for Harley and a few ducks). Michelle and I will have to wait for another day for a swim, although we’d both like to do another bathing suit photo shoot, as our first one was a lot of fun.

Having finished our walk, we headed back to Michelle’s, and I headed home, after about eight hours together on a memorable Easter. No Easter eggs, just egg-cellent company (yes, you can all groan), and in all a very fun day with my BFF.
