Like that? Get it?
The title of this post, a twist on the U2 song we recently shouted out, is perfect! I came to know both Annie and Carrie from our mutual affiliation with The North Coast Men’s Chorus. Both are strong allies of the LGBT community.
We went out for dinner, the first time we had been able to see Carrie since the plague descended upon us. It was so good to see her! Sherry was the fourth lady in our group.
We met at The Oak Barrel, the scene of my recent wonderful time having drinks purchased for me and many people showing me so much kindness.
I wish I had a great story, but it was just four ladies, sitting, eating, enjoying each other’s company, talking, you know, doing what we girls do! I honestly don’t know any other group of people I could spend three hours with that seems like ten minutes. The time flew by, it was so wonderful!
I want to tell these wonderful ladies how much I truly love them! They are each amazing in their own way and I am blessed to be their friend.
Beforehand I stopped to take some fun pictures at a local lake park. You can see I went with a cute striped top and my plum pants. A comfortable look for the day!
Kandi On The Road
I will be in Washington, DC in early September. If any readers have any interest in getting together, please let me know. That would please me greatly!
The Lake Erie Gala is in November. Are any readers attending? I am on the fence (although I booked a reservation so I have it), I would like to see or meet friends, but am not really wild about going without knowing who I might know there. It’s relatively close for me, so I will make it a last minute decision unless I know there will be someone I can hang with and maybe even go off-script and do something outside the parameters of the event. Again, you know how to find me, please let me know!
