IT’S BIKINI TIME!

CRUISING TODAY FOR FOUR DAYS

CRUISING TODAY FOR FOUR DAYS

Ahhhh the bikini…

Have you ever pondered the sensation?

I’m about to board a massive cruise liner, surrounded by thousands from every corner of the globe. We’ll be at sea and dock in Cozumel in a few days. Just a four day quickie.

One of my absolute favorite thrills is striding across the pool deck or stepping ashore to shop, clad in a provocative swimsuit or something skimpy and bold. Call it wild, but it’s utterly addictive.

Picture it for yourself…
Envision sauntering along the poolside, the sun’s gentle heat wrapping around your body, igniting a sense of strength and vitality. You’re in your go-to swimsuit—perhaps a bikini, or a sleek one-piece? Something daringly minimal or elegantly understated?

The sea breeze wafts salty air your way, and with each stride, you exude assurance, claiming the area with an effortless, commanding poise. You catch the subtle pivots of heads, people captivated by your vibe and the way you carry yourself.

That bikini? It’s liberating and audacious—a tiny, fearless declaration amid a crowd of unknowns.
There’s something profoundly erotic about minimalist attire, with just a sliver of material between you and wandering gazes.

The material hugs your contours perfectly, accentuating every line and curve as if it’s all deliberate, unashamedly yours. It’s a cocktail of adrenaline and subtle exposure, feeling so exposed yet so alive.

A quick aside from me:
I adore slipping on sunglasses—it lets me scan reactions without a soul knowing I’m observing.
At 6’3” even in flats, I stand out like a beacon. I know the whispers: “Is that a…?” But it doesn’t faze me. I’m authentically me—bold, alluring, and one-of-a-kind in a sea of ordinary.

Resuming the fantasy…
You spot the looks—fleeting ones, prolonged stares—as admirers are pulled in by your self-assurance, intrigue flickering from the energy you radiate.

In that instant, you’re not merely noticed; you’re irresistible. It’s a fusion of liberation and rush, every gaze amplifying the joy of being unapologetically you in a watchful world.

This is a tribute to self-acceptance, flaunting every facet with dignity, allowing the universe to witness you as you truly are: resilient, stunning, and utterly indelible.

Did that resonate?

That’ll be my reality these last few days.

  1. Gwen,
At my age ( but not a bad figure ) it wouldn’t get the desired effect , although I have a couple of swimsuits that fit nicely bit I have to admit I have too much to hide down below , so I have played safe with skirted costumes .

The one question your post raises is WHY ? It’s a question that I considered sometime ago when going to social groups . I did love pushing the boat out because in those days I had nothing to lose but I began to question who am I trying to impress , am I actually trying to attract attention for something more ? From this so many other questions arise , if I’m trying to attract someone would it be male or female , either way did I really need to get into a complicated situation when I was still married and living with my family and obviously the BIG question is what if they found out ???

Fast forward to my cruise this year , well the weather wasn’t bikini friendly ! I boarded as Teresa and was treated very much as such , I had thought most situations through , what to wear on sea days and what to wear on excursions . I was looking forward to dressing for the evenings especially the formal nights ( sadly we can’t post pics in these replies ) . I wasn’t looking to turn heads but that’s not what happened . I soon realised a well dressed blond woman travelling on her own is a huge threat , when I walked into the cocktail bars the glances were more like search lights . The men looked me up and down and the wives watched the men looking me up and down as well as checking out my outfit . When I noticed the looks I just smiled back at them , I haven’t quite had this situation before I must admit it did feel good . I did have a guy offer to buy me a drink , I politely refused but then we were joined by his Thai wife , she was lovely so we chatted for some time .
During a day at sea I was checking out some cruise brochures while sitting in the attrium having a coffee when a guy asked if the rest of the sofa was taken , I told him it was free . We chatted for a short while and then he leant forward and asked if I wanted to join him in his cabin , I politely said no thank you , then looked him in the eye and said , ” I think one of us needs to visit Specsavers !” ( A large UK optician franchise , they run some great ads using the same words ). With that he mumbled something about missing his wife and ambled off . I was talking to two ladies later over coffee and warned them of the amourous Welshman , then one smiled and leant forward to ask his cabin number with a twinkle in her eye !

Many year ago I did wear a bikini , I think it belonged to my sister , I did feel good but it didn’t look good in the mirror , I did have a slim waistline and good legs but the male parts were too obvious and the body hair looked worse . I don’t look too bad in my swimsuits , I’m still determined to wear them at the right time maybe next year when I fly off on holiday .

  2. Thank you Gwen for a somewhat provocative post.

Casual reader, don’t try this at home without an excellent tuck. I tape, then use a too small bikini bottom that matches my bikini bottom color, followed by the bikini bottom. It works for me, but then I am thin and rather poorly endowed!

As an aside, I am a swimmer, so normally I wear a racing suit. I keep a log of my swims. I recently passed the eight hundred thousand meter mark swimming as myself. I tell you that not as a boast but rather to give you assurance that you do not need to give us doing what you love when you start transitioning, especially if you are thoughtful about it.

As an aside and for Teresa’s benefit, I do NOT wear a bikini to get noticed. Rather, I wear one because it is the most practical in terms of drying quickly. I typically wear one when visiting a hot tub, although I have worn one to the beach (like Kandi) and even to an alpine lake. I often joke as I come up to a group, “shield your eyes, old lady in bikini approaching!” I not only typically get good-natured chuckles, but it is often the beginning of a good conversation with my spa mates.

  3. Lisa,
No I wouldn’t either but saying that we do get noticed in other ways as I mentioned on my cruise . As Gwen comments being noticed isn’t a problem for her and also being read .
