ENJOY THE MAGIC OF CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas!

It’s such a wonderful time of year, wouldn’t you agree?

I love to see the excitement in people’s faces at Christmas time. I even like all the hustle and bustle.

Quality questions…
👉What can the Christmas season teach you about celebrating life?
💗How can you totally immerse yourself in Christmas magic?
🙏What can you do to enjoy the holiday season even more?

“I am becoming such a Christmas Elf!” I giggle an elfish laugh and grin. I may even treat myself to some hot cocoa and a Christmas cookie.

I enjoy seeing the transformation from the MUNDANE to the MAGICAL. I live in Manhattan and it lights up during the holidays. I love all the lights. I love the decorations. I love the aromas in the air. I’m caught up in the MAGIC of Christmas.

I love to see all the new decorations that creative people come up with each year. It’s fun to add new decorations while still enjoying some of the old ones that bring back fond memories.

It tickles me to see the reaction of children sitting on Santa’s lap.

I love to see the costumes, crazy hats, and tee shirts people wear during this time of the year. I find it totally healthy to laugh at myself for some of my outfits. I love ugly sweater parties. Any time to stop taking myself so seriously is a good thing.

THE REAL REASON

Having said that, the Christmas season helps me to realize how important it is for me to celebrate life.  After all, looking beyond the lights, presents and grandeur, we can’t forget the REAL REASON WE are celebrating….

THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST

Sometimes, I get too caught up in the day-to day-activities of regular routines and frankly, the hype of stores telling me to buy this or that.  It’s great that I can pull myself out of the ‘doing’ of Christmas and give myself permission to just be a little kid for a moment. Kids see things in simple, non-complicated ways.

If you are a Christian, smile and thank God for thinking enough of his children to give us the blessing of his son.  Really thank him.  Feel his love as it radiates through you.

Now turn that love to others.

Stop. Breath. Enjoy friends and loved ones. It’s a time to tell each how much you appreciate and love them.  It’s not about gifts.

My challenge for you this season is for you to feel the Christmas Magic WITHIN.  if you’re not a believer, that’s not a problem.

LOVE IS NON-DENOMINATIONAL

Allow yourself to be transformed by the magic of Christmas and take a moment of time to thoroughly enjoy the holidays.

Be Strong. 💪

  1. Gwen,

I loved your post. I often read negative stereotypes, but I come from a clergy family and all of them have loved everyone as a matter of faith. I felt accepted and loved as a child for the whole me and so even though I knew I was different than other males and hid myself from the world at large, I never felt anything but good about myself. My hope for this day is that others in this community would gift themselves today with love and acceptance. If folks will read your post carefully, they should at least be able to move in that direction.

Merry Christmas to you and to our lovely and fun webhostess, Kandi!
