Being as anal as I am, my iTunes library has a rating system. Four stars for my favorites and five stars to the best of the best. I have about 2,100 songs with four stars and only 71 of the very best. Bad Blood is one of those songs and the most played song of all 14, 000+. Don’t know why, but I just love this Neil Sedaka/Elton John duet (although not credited as such). It always makes me smile! The rating system allows me to play songs to fit my mood.

Friday, April 17, 2026 was an eventful day. The absolute highlight was reconnecting with the amazing film maker whom I met in 2022. Paige sought me out, remembered me very well and could not have been kinder! This was us in 2022. She was showing a much lighter short that year. This time, her film, “Wait”, was about a high school freshman who was raped by a senior. It was so well done, and I wept for quite a while afterward, especially since I got to chat at length with her immediately after the screening. I came to find out her father is famed New Your DJ, Cousin Brucie. I’m sure he spun Bad Blood a few times!
The day was simply amazing.
There was one wonderful interaction after another. I have been hanging out with film makers every evening at the get togethers sponsored by CIFF. This day I took full advantage of a beautiful day and took a bunch of pictures around Playhouse Square. Loved my look this day.
