As we all know, I am very much a neophyte when it comes to all of this www stuff. I am very good at writing and content creation, much less so at know how and why anyone finds us amongst the forest of blogs, posts and pages.
I have recently learned a bit about SEO (search engine optimization) and how someone lands on this page. What I find the most interesting is why certain posts resonate so much.
As of the time of this writing, these are the all-time top 10 posts (excluding the main blog page and any of the other pages available):

Why is that? Obviously, how long they have been up and if they have been linked to elsewhere contributes to this.
But Google search is really the answer. These are the top searches that drove traffic.

The term “3 diamond legs” has driven tremendous traffic to Jocelyn’s Legs post. Why? I have no idea and do not even know what that means. Google left me bewildered.
What are we to conclude? Don’t know other than it seems that the biggest drag on eyeballs here is me… 🤷♀️

Back to work!

Kandi,
Most of the traffic appears to be centered around crossdressing and how wive’s or partners deal with it closely followed by how it makes a person feel and look . On the light side crossdressing is about fun and the enjoyment of being more feminine , being a little courageous , daring and possibly sexy , something which many men don’t experience , I guess to sum it up in one word it would be , ” The Experience ” . As we all know that is not the full picture because that behaviour is not always understood or shared by others , ” Why would any sane guy want to make a complete fool of himself ??? ” So next popular stories relate to explaining it to ourselves so we can hopefully explain it to others and then it becomes deeper because we may need professional help to find the truth of what drives that need .
In the past I was a member of an online CDing site ( as you know ) I had clocked up over 13,000 posts and comments , was I obsessed ? Not really as it proved to be the coming out period for me , it wasn’t always fun but having a sense of humour helped when things became dark . I didn’t find all the answers because we truthfully don’t know all the answers but in the process I found ME and that is the true value of Kandi’sLand and other online sites , we aren’t alone .
I am a software engineer and know a little bit about tracking page hits (but certainly no expert). One of the tactics used by bots is to “scrape” web pages for links and follow them. The top 10 list is a bold target and leads to several spam comments, which I’ve seen on my Recovery Photo Shoot post and not on almost any other post I’ve written. The searches you show are usually intended to find the main page, although the “3 diamonds legs” is just strange. People get big $$ to figure this out for large companies!
I am not surprised. When it comes to gender variance, the gender spectrum, I think many people rack their brains on “is this a hobby? is this something more?” Are they a hobby CD? Or are they transgender? (also being Transgender does not automatically mean you HAVE to transition.) It is a constant back and forth that only someone internally can know. That said, they are always looking for information on it. People are looking for shared experiences. Can they relate?
Further, many are in relationships, and people want to know how others in relationships deal with being gender variant and how that effects their wife or significant other.
These kinds of articles will always resonate.

SEO really is its own skill, huh? I’ve been learning a lot about it lately too, and yeah… sometimes what pulls traffic just makes no sense at all. “3 diamond legs”? I’d be just as confused.
But one thing I do know—you are absolutely not a drag on eyeballs. You’re the reason so many of us keep showing up.
Also? That outfit is adorable. And wine while blogging? Why didn’t I think of that sooner? 🍷💕
