Subtitle: Every Picture Tells a Story
Okay, here we go! March 25, 2023, the final day.
Any time spent with Alex is time amazingly well spent!
The sweater, LOVED it, check it out here!
On this morning, I spent more time with Alex and others. But a highlight for me was Cass! Cassidy and I have been corresponding maybe for as long as nine years. We never met until this day and that was wonderful! Cass is a big hearted friend and I value her friendship.
After Cass left (she only came to meet me), I attended a Vanity Club Open House. I talked (what else is new) with so many but only took one photo at this event because, oh well, you’ll see in a few minutes. I cornered Dan Draper’s secretary as she was making him his afternoon cocktail.
Allow me a sidebar here. I was fortunate to share my room with my friend Samantha and finally got to meet and spent time with a mutual friend, the darling Johnna. Sammy, you made the whole experience fabulous for me (and your zipper contraption is amazing) and Johnna, you know how I feel about you. Here we are.
Then it was show time, Jackie O in all her glory! The gala! I made a concerted effort to take as many pictures with people I love than I could. So go freshen your coffee and watch me take a million pictures. If I missed you, I apologize or maybe I let you take take the picture and don’t have a copy. I took way more photos than I have shared because they are on other ladies’ phones.
Here we go! These are in no particular order.
Spent some time feeling inferior
Standing in front of my mirror
Combed my hair in a thousand ways
But I came out looking just the same
Daddy said, son, you better see the world
I wouldn’t blame you if you wanted to leave
But remember one thing, don’t lose your head
To a woman that’ll spend your bread
So I got out, whooParis was a place you could hide away
If you felt you didn’t fit in
The French police wouldn’t give me no peace
They claimed I was a nasty person
Down along the Left Bank, minding my own, whoo
Was knocked down by a human stampede
Got arrested for inciting a peaceful riot
When all I wanted was a cup of tea
I was accused, whooI moved on
Down in Rome, I wasn’t getting enough
Of the things that keep a young man alive
My body stunk, but I kept my funk, whoo
At a time when I was right outta luck
Getting desperate, indeed I was, yeah
Looking like a tourist attraction
Oh my dear, I better get out of here
For the Vatican don’t give no sanction
I wasn’t ready for that, no, noI moved right out east, yeah
Listen, on the Peeking ferry, I was feelin merry
Sailing on my way back here
I fell in love with a slit-eyed lady
By the light of an eastern moon
Shanghai Lil never used the pill
She claimed that it just ain’t natural
She took me up on deck and bit my neck
Oh, people, I was glad I found her
Oh, yes I was glad I found her, woo-hooWait a minute
I firmly believed that I
Didn’t need anyone but me
I sincerely thought I was so complete
Look how wrong you can beThe women I’ve known I wouldn’t let tie my shoe
They wouldn’t give you the time of day
But the slit-eyed lady knocked me off my feet
God, I was glad I found her
And if they had the words I could tell to you
To help you on the way down the road
I couldn’t quote you no Dickens, Shelley or Keats
‘Cause it’s all been said before
Make the best out of the bad, just laugh it off, ha
You didn’t have to come here anywaySo remember, every picture tells a story, don’t it

Wow. So many smiles and gorgeous looks in these pictures. I hope that some day, somehow, I can find a way to join such a beautiful gathering of sisters in person.
Kandi, I’m sure your Jackie O outfit was a highlight of the event. Where did you find it?
The Jackie O dress was on some web site that popped up on my Facebook feed. I almost never buy that way, but it intrigued me.
Once I got it and it fit, all I needed was the pink pillbox hat and a star was born!
OMG, that pink dress is amazing on you! Lovely photos!

Thanks for doing this,
Fiona
My sincere pleasure!
So many lovely ladies a sisterhood like no other, kinda makes us not feel so alone
Kandi what a lovely pink suite you wear it so well.
It is a unique place, a unique experience. Thanks Rach, love you!
Thanks Kandi, it was you who made the whole thing possible for me.
You were a great roomie. I’m trying to nag Meghan into coming next year for Keystone.
Hugs……..
Samantha
She picked the wrong gathering to attend! She asked me, I gave her advice, so of course, she did the opposite!
