Playing catch up here a bit. I played pickleball on both Tuesday, October 7, 2025, and the following day. I looked like dog meat on Tuesday, as you can see here and simply did not have the energy to get dressed the following day. But often when I show up somewhere that Kandi is known as myself, I am rewarded. That was the case here as well. I connected with one of our opponents whom we beat badly and had a great time at the adjacent bar after our game. Authenticity is almost always rewarded. It didn’t hurt that whiskey was half price! Please look away now…

October 10, 2025, was Day Two of a five day run of what I will call scheduling flexibility. This day was gorgeous! Cloudless, upper 60’s. Autumn in all its splendor. I really thought I would not dress for about a week or so since I had nothing to do, but as the title here says, I could not resist!

I got my girl on and headed to the Hartville Market. Hartville is one of the largest flea markets in the country, about an hour drive for me. It has fabulous indoor small business shops. I simply browsed, enjoying being me in what is mostly MAGA country. No one paid me any special attention. I picked up a fabulous cowl neck shawl, an amazing mod style t-shirt and a cute crossbody purse. There is a great high-end boutique there and the woman working told me I looked cute! No great story, but just a great day! I picked up an amazing local sour bread on my way home at another place where I am known and have a darling friend. That bread has grilled cheese and tomato soup written all over it!

Thank you all for your votes for me as a Style Icon! I will certainly report back on how I finished and what that means. Prizes include the ability to walk a fashion show in Milan and New York. I doubt I would be that lucky and am not sure that people like me are allowed a passport, so we’ll see…
