Last week, I wrote about my trip to New York to help my son move (and perhaps have a chance to go out dressed in New York again). While planning the trip, I discovered the Cardinals, my lifelong baseball team, were playing in Pittsburgh the Mon-Dee to Thur-Dee after my weekend in NYC. I figured a Dee-Tour was in order, and decided on going to the first two games, with some Dee time thrown in.

Mon-Dee was boy me. After arriving in Pittsburgh, I walked around the stadium and took pictures for my Facebook friends. I had good seats–Pittsburgh is not a baseball hotspot in April–and after a lackluster start (a perfect game for Pittsburgh through seven innings), the Cards rallied and won in the ninth.

Tues-Dee was time for girl me. I have learned to deal with small inconveniences–like valet staffers that see me check in as a guy and then retrieve the car as a girl. I drove to a local mall and hit Macy’s and then White House Black Market. At Macy’s I decided it was formal time. I don’t currently have a place to wear a formal, but a girl can dream, can’t she?

I also decided to make Game Two a Dee game. Still a good seat, but for this game I sat further under the stands as to not risk showing up on the TV broadcast to St. Louis (bad pun: this TV did not want to show up on TV).

The Cards won the second game too. I managed to wander around and take some selfies, and the “It’s Miller Time” sign was talking to me.

As I had a very early flight on Wednes-Dee morning, I wasn’t tempted to fly pretty. But all in all, a good trip.
