I began planning for a stretch of 5 days back when my wife decided to attend a large exposition in Chicago, where our daughter lives. I expected that I would not have the vacation allowance from work to be able to join her. We had volunteered at a large event in Boston the entire last week of March, right after my last “Day in the Life” of Tina. Then, after my father passed away that same week, we gathered at my mother’s house with all of our close family on April 3. We did briefly check to see if I could join my wife in Chicago for the weekend, but the cost for the last-minute flights was prohibitive.
So I put together orders at Ulta, Amazon, and Venus, using sales and gift cards and a birthday deal (Tina’s ‘birthday’ is in April). On Thursday, April 24, 2025, I dropped my wife off at Logan Airport in Boston early in the morning for her flight to Chicago. When I returned home, I pulled out all of my duffel bags and brought them to the bedroom. I hung dresses, skirts, tops, and jeans in the closet, lined up heels and other shoes on the floor of the closet, and filled my dresser drawers with underwear, shapers, sweaters, and nightgowns.
I cleaned up and shaved my chest, arms, face, and even across my back (as best as I could reach). I put on my white Gloria Vanderbilt jeans, a white shaping camisole, a pink-and-white striped shirt, and my white wedge sandals. I had an appointment at a local nail salon for a manicure and pedicure – my feet needed the attention, and I wanted to have painted nails until Monday. My Ulta order had a pale pink polish, along with a new lipstick and a small mascara, so after putting on some light makeup, I drove out to the store to pick up my order. When I got home, the Amazon order was waiting. I tried on the pleated dress and thought it was okay, but I preferred a floral Calvin Klein dress, and the white cropped sweater from the order was perfect with it.
I had some lunch at home before driving to the salon for my appointment. Kathy, the nail tech, was ready for me and asked what color I wanted. I handed her the bottle from my purse and told her it was for both toes and fingers, so off we went to the pedicure chair. Once my toes were done, we moved to the nail station. Kathy asked if I wanted my fingernails trimmed, and I said, “No, just shaped.” I was very happy with the result and gave her a large tip.
I had a scheduled doctor’s appointment late in the day and seriously considered going in dressed as Tina. I did update my gender identity to “questioning” when I completed the pre-appointment questionnaires online. However, I decided to change into black Gloria Vanderbilt jeans and a male shirt and removed my wig and makeup, leaving my nails done. My doctor asked a few questions, including whether I wanted to change my pronouns in the system. I declined, saying that it was too soon and that I was exploring the possibilities. She was very respectful and wanted to be sure I had the support I needed. I will see her again in a new location next year.
After I got home, I did not fully dress that evening. I did take off the male shirt and put on a bra, my boobs, and one of my female tops to have dinner. It was going to be a busy day on Friday, and my order from Venus would arrive as well. Next time, a lot of driving (some of it in heels) and a truly memorable experience!
Hugs,
Tina

Love the casual outfit, you look beautiful and ready to have a fun day!
Tina,
Despite all the negative problems at the moment it’s so good to read your doctor is on your side . I’ve never had a single problem with my GPs in fact they are responsible for my wonderful situation now .
I love stories that bring happiness to people even living those few hours to experience the female side of life , no matter what you wear it’s those little extras like nice nails that tip the balance .
I agree with Sherry, the casual outfit looks great
I’m pretty much a casual girl myself
Don’t truly have places I go for dressy dress so the majority of my clothes are of that type
A full on girl day is always nice indeed
