As I went from dress to dress, shoot to shoot, I never thought about anything. I just did, was, existed, allowed myself to be her. Even the shoots just happened. Grab the tripod and immediately a thought process began about creating a different look. That mental release is not easy; in fact, it is hard. It means you have to suppress what are still innate thoughts and feelings. In my case, ingrained for over 50 years. Also cherishing my male roles in life as husband, father, athlete, etc. make the mental switch difficult. Intellectually, you know what you are doing is okay, it makes you happy and it hurts no one. But still…
And I always get back to the complete happiness I feel especially when you see YOU! Listen, I look amazing in all of the dresses in this shoot. Just fact. And that is for many reasons, my attention to detail, how I have maintained my body, some genetics and a sense of style. Be better than me, be smarted than me, be you better that I am me.
This dress, yet another $5 JCPenney clearance item picked up all at the same time, in an afternoon grinning from ear to ear. I tried everything on and interacted with other ladies and the SAs.

Some memories from Erie, including my first time in 2015 (bottom right).
