Go ahead, find me a better song! 1986 this amazing bluesy, rocking good time hit us right between the eyes. By The Robert Cray Band, the lyric ‘Smoking Gun’ is a reference to strong circumstantial evidence of his lover’s infidelity. Later, the song lyrics flip the meaning to a more literal smoking gun, as evidence of revenge by the betrayed on the betrayer. The lyrics describe that he doesn’t know what he has done, but there are sirens, his heart is racing, and he thinks he should be running, implying a probable revenge murder.
I get a constant busy signal
When I call you on the phone
I get a strong, uneasy feeling
You’re not sitting there alone
Had some fun, September 24, 2025, for my next fashion show rehearsal.
I’m having nasty, nasty visions
And baby you’re in every one, yeah
And I’m so afraid I’m gonna find you with
A so-called smoking gun
Now that I understand what the show entails, I am just trying to fit in a bit, so I went with a little more daring look and a new ‘do. I do like to look but am not fond of my giant forehead because of how the wig fits. So, we’ll see…

Maybe you wanna end it
You’ve had your fill with my kind of fun
But you don’t know how to tell me
And you know that I’m not that dumb

I put two and one together
And you know that’s not an even sum
And I know just where to catch you with
That well-known smoking gun

I’m standing here, bewildered
I can’t remember just what I’ve done
I can hear the sirens whining
My eyes blinded by the sun

I stopped for a cocktail at a favorite restaurant and then to shoot these pictures. It’s nice when the bartender thanks you for coming back, which means I am remembered! Practice was fun as I try to understand some of the choreography required. Oh boy! I did get a lot of compliments from my fellow models on the look this day, made be happy!

I know that I should be running
My heart’s beating just like a drum
Now they’ve knocked me down and taken it
That still-hot smoking gun

Yeah, yeah, still-hot smoking gun
They’ve taken it, the still-hot smoking gun
Oh, they’ve taken it, still-hot smoking gun
They’ve knocked me down
And taken it
Oh
Post script: Pretty sure you won’t see that wig again. It was not at all comfortable given its deisgn and my head/hair.
