Getting My Christmas On!

Trimming the tree...

Yes, I look like I am seated on a talk show set and the hostess chose not to show up! Also, for the record, I have nothing to do with our home decorations with the exception of schlepping things from the basement.

Every year I continue to evolve. I feel like right now (and just wait until you see what is to come!) I have never been prouder of my presentation. Outfits, dresses, the whole look, my makeup, my legs. I am in all my girl glory right now. With lifestyle changes upcoming as it relates to my work schedule and free time, I am focused on making real impressions whenever and wherever I am able. I seek large public gatherings and events. I want to be seen as one of the most fashionable women in that space. I am seeking more involvement in the acting community. I believe moving into 2026, I will go out a bit less, but in a much bigger way. The ability to generate revenue without working so hard to find the means of generating that revenue will allow me to better invest in who and what I am. Both in terms of time and money. I am blessed beyond words, a survivor and a thriver.

December 12, 2025, the Plexus Winter Soiree. The theme, which you can see I ignored, was Whoville. I stopped at a new sports bar for women’s sports, The W, beforehand and then the event. Given this was an LGBT event, also tied in with ILEA, the International Live Events Association, you would think it would be hard to be noticed. It was not…

It just filled me with joy to see friend after friend. It filled me with joy to have people, on more than one occasion, walk up to introduce themselves to me and say I saw you here or there. I am noticed and I am remembered. PLEASE understand I am trying not to be arrogant here. I am trying to make a point, trying to show that you can be you and you can do so without fear. It is amazing! Honestly, look at me for goodness’ sake, I am no beauty. And I am 64 years old, dressing like a 35-year-old (while pulling it off, for now). I do understand, better than most, presentation. How an outfit works and fits my body. How my makeup should look pretty and natural. The details. I get it all. We all have gifts, skills and strengths. This is mine. If only I could monetize this skill, oh well.

The absolute highlight of my evening was a connection I made with this amazing woman. She was a vendor at the event, selling vintage clothing. I purchased an amazing gold dress and a blazer that will be the most amazing outfit you will ever see me wear. Now, where to wear it? During the purchase process, filled with many hugs, I came to find out the dress was worn by her at her wedding rehearsal dinner and the blazer worn to her sister’s bachelorette party. She was genuinely happy these pieces went to a good home. I will treasure them and do her proud!

How’d we do this evening?

  1. Kandi,
Amazingly, you keep looking younger and more beautiful every day. Honestly, you do look 35.

I adore your presentation. You are a gorgeous looking woman who does know how to look her best. Your attractiveness is a magnet to everyone in the room.

I have experienced your strong personality and it is easy to understand why you have so many friends. People are drawn to beauty, joy and openness. You have it all.

You also have fabulous looking legs. All 35 year olds should show them off.

    Love,
    Jocelyn
