Saturday, April 11, 2026, we take it on the road! Before we get into this day, let’s do our musical thing.
Hash Pipe, quite literally the perfect crank at full volume song. This song is exactly what rock and roll is supposed to be. A song that will always make me smile, will always get my blood pumping! I can hear the opening riff in my head as I write this.
Oh, come on and kick me
Oh, come on and kick me
(Whoa) Come on and kick me
You’ve got your problems (Whoa)
I’ve got my eyes wide (Whoa)
You’ve got your big G’s
I’ve got my hash pipe

Now, where were we? This year CIFF has a much larger footprint over town, at Playhouse Square, Idea Stream, Cleveland State, the Cedar Lee Theater (where it started) and at the Rock Hall. I was fortunate to represent the festival on this evening at the Rock Hall with a screening of Don’t Forget Me. From the Academy Award-winning producers behind acclaimed documentaries Quant (Mary Quant) and Ronnie’s (Ronnie Scott), Don’t Forget Me is the first official biography of rock ’n’ roll pioneer Eddie Cochran.
The Hall was closed otherwise, so I had the run of the place and took full advantage. I had numerous interactions with many of the patrons and could not have been happier. Day after day, CIFF has delivered so many great moments for me.
Here we go with so many great photos!

Here are each of the induction classes for the ceremonies that I worked.

Community is how we move forward.
