D.C. Photoshoot – 9/3/21 Red

A three part look back.

Let’s lighten things up a bit and revel in our femininity!

We continue tearing down some of the dated photoshoots.

I did a big shoot in Washington D.C. back in 2021. Read about it here.

I wore a black skirt and a white blouse and switched between a few blazers.

Here is the first blazer.

Okay, let me tell you, now ten years in, the things that I still notice. The things that still make me happy. A dangling necklace, about 18″ long (so it hangs just above the cleavage, although necklaces in the cleavage are also a treat). Got me there, cleavage itself is a treat!

Long earrings, again dangling. Holding my legs together in photos (which I now do instinctively, even in male mode unfortunately). Walking like a lady, in a dress, with no thought about how I am doing so. All the accessories, a bracelet, bra, nails, ring. Skirts, flowing dresses. Knowing you look great. Knowing you are noticed, positively. Makeup done well.

If you told me before all of this I would thrill to wear things that are binding (use your imagination, but it also includes shapewear, a bra, heels, tight fitting but complimentary clothing), I would have thought you nuts. But for me, it is me. It is what I need to do to look like someone people actually are drawn to. Yeah, some of that is a personality buried deep for decades, but much of it is presentation. Cliche: you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression. My first impression is usually pretty damn good. Not God-given, an acquired skill.

Have a great weekend girls (and I thrill in that word too)!

  2. Kandi,
Sometimes we need to look back to see how far we have come , the last six years for me have flown by , before that I would laughed if someone had predicted me living as a woman . I guess I must be doing something right .

The first time I saw that jacket I loved it and who could resist a crisp white cotton blouse and a neat black skirt , you wear them well .

  3. Kandi,
I understand the feelings. And I too now stand holding my legs together or crossed.
Walking in heels ‘with no thought about how I am doing so’, but having to be aware of your footing and having exquiste nails 365 days a year are a few of the things that feed my inner girl.
    Have a nice weekend, too.
    Cali
