On June 25, 2021 I got started on my day by getting ready around 7:00 AM. By about 8:30, this girl was ready to start her day!
The blouse was picked up for a buck or so at the Volunteers of America thrift. The skirt, also a thrift purchase from my early days, was pulled from the archives. Cute grey shoes and this darling purse and I was good to go.
We took the obligatory photos and headed to the art museum for my morning shift. When I got there, I took a few outdoor photos and then discovered that as a museum “employee”, I had to mask up. I was not counting on that. Oh well.
I worked my three hour shift alone, but right in the entrance way and answered questions. made folks laugh and enjoyed myself. I worked on the blog most of the time. Being in that place, in public, with humans, makes me happy!!
My next stop was at a near by wine bar. I had agreed to talk with my Big Sister (on the phone) to catch up on things, so I enjoyed my Pinot Noir and our chat.
We then headed to the clothing exchange and swapped a bunch of stuff for an adorable sleeveless turtle neck and an outstanding pant suit.
I then wrapped up my day at an Italian restaurant for Happy Hour, which meant appetizer plates of pasta (allowing me to sample a few different combos) and a few more Pinots. There I easily interacted with quite a few people there to do the same sort of thing.
I arrived home at about 6:00 PM, a full day, a lovely day, a day where I never thought twice about being a woman out and about in the world. An all-day Kandi experience!
I really would like to spend my work days this way…….

Kandi, the blouse is fabulous, it looks perfect for a regular work day. Of course, you had more fun after your shift at the art museum. I agree with Rachael that it’s too much work to be female all the time, but the days when we do are so enjoyable. ❤
