For anyone new to Kandi’s Land, please take the time to visit the About page.
Also, this is our Mission Statement and our Rules of the Road.

This is a loving and supportive community. We have three basic rules: we are a PG-13 site; no politics (too divisive, never a redeeming conversation); and no whining, we always try to be uplifting but honest.
Every picture you see here of me (except during the pandemic) is a photo of me either out in the world or taken at home before heading out the door. We are well over a thousand times out, well over being seen by tens of thousands of people, in hundreds of different places, circumstances and events. We walk the walk.
By no means do we have this “figured out”. There are struggles daily, ever present. Being comfortable in both male and female mode allows me to navigate my life and its circumstances and challenges, but it also leaves me constantly conflicted. I am never at peace. I am generally always happy but am certainly always restless. This is manifested in my ongoing struggle with various stimulants. Rarely is the day without a little pick-me-up to salve this personal unease.
Spread the word! Tell a friend about us. Help grow the community. We only make a difference if we are seen and seen in a positive light. Believe it or not, things are changing, but it takes time. Social change is made in the slow cooker; it is rarely microwaved.

I am in the process of updating and refreshing the site. As you all know, I am fairly ignorant of how to build the house (the nuts and bolts of running this site), but quite good at decorating the house (providing content). I have found (fingers crossed) someone willing to work with me on an hourly basis, helping me to learn how to do things instead of just doing them himself. I also need to create more revenue to help pay for the place. I know you all hate the ads, so do I. They bother me when I am working behind the curtain here, creating content. However, those ads cover my actual out of pocket costs. My countless hours invested are free and my passion/ego play. Watch for tweaks and changes moving forward, some have already begun.
You may have seen already the logo below at the bottom of each post. All I ask is that if and when you are shopping Amazon, simply do so though this link. It will have no effect on your shopping experience or cost; it will simply take you in as a Kandi’s Land Associate to allow us to generate the necessary resources to keep this old ship afloat!

Our great friend Gwen Richardson has written a book. You can order it here! It is also listed always on our Links page. In addition, read a wonderful interview with Gwen here about her amazing journey!
My love to all the ladies that are a part of this community.

I endorse everything you have written here, Kandi, For all of us, Kandi’s Land is the gift that keeps on giving – day after day inspiration, tips and generally uplifting content. I still have to pinch myself to believe the things that KL has inspired me to do and I’m sure that many others have similar stories to tell.
Thank you again for providing us with a platform.
I love what Amanda said and feel much the same way, even though I pull away at times because of my own struggles with this part of me, I always come back to see what I’ve missed and get re encouraged. I’ll forever be grateful to Kandi for her kindness and influence in my life. This site has a special place in my heart and I’ll always love Amanda for directing me to it as well.
We ALL struggle Lizzy, so just be assured that is very natural and that you are loved!
I visit almost every day! A favorite site from my favorite friends!
The love, the encouragement, the way you talk about being visible and holding your head high—it hit me right in the heart.
I’ve been wanting to go out fully dressed for a long time, but fear always held me back. Reading this… it gave me a little hope. Like maybe there is a place for girls like me out there. Like I’m not silly or wrong for wanting to be seen.
And for what it’s worth, you’ve been one of the main inspirations for starting my own blog. Just… thank you. For walking the walk and showing the rest of us how to start.
Wow, it’s comments like that that give me purpose! Thank you dear.
Also, your wonderful blog is listed on out Links page, hopefully it will open a few new sets of eyes for you!
Kandi,
We met online before Kandi’s Land and even then you inspired many to feel better about themselves . Very few of us would have ventured further down the road without the inspiration from people like yourself , If Kandi can do it why can’t I ? We all know that is easier said than done , if we looked for key words I guess , ” FEAR ” and BELIEF” would come somewhere near the top of the list . We hide in the closet in fear until we find the belief in ourselves , accepting who we really are and what drives that inner need .
I agree we all live with inner conflicts , transition doesn’t totally expel them , I choose to live as Teresa , is she a man or a woman , we can never totally resolve that question all I say now is I live as Teresa , people accept me on that basis , I’m happy and content with that . Life is as good as it gets , never perfect but then life in general isn’t .
This is exactly what our community is all about. Sharing, encouraging, showing the possible. You are a very big part of that Teresa!
