Day three was basically similar to day one in that it was a travel day. Check out was 11:00am and my ferry left for Vancouver at 6:00 so I had to check in at 5:00. This day is the day that I got a lesson firsthand on what girls have to put up with on a daily basis.
Once I left Victoria proper, I still had an hour and a half drive to the ferry terminal which left me a few hours to do a little site seeing. So, any small town along the way I would stop in to see what they had to offer. Most of them there wasn’t much to see or do. But ones along the coast I go to see if any of the beaches were any good but unfortunately none of them were. But as I pulled into this one town, I saw a sea food restaurant, and this is where I learned female lesson number two. As I pulled in, I was the only car there and I ended up being the only customer. I ordered crab and chips for lunch. While I was sitting there waiting for my lunch this fairly big guy came in and walked directly to my table and handing me a piece of paper, he said I think you dropped this on your way in and I just wanted to give it to you. Then without another word just turned around and left. I knew I hadn’t dropped anything, but curiosity got the better of me so I unfolded the paper and on it he had written…….
– If you’d like to hang out sometime text me and next to that was his phone number.
– My name is Colt. I would love to, then a happy face 😊.
– Text me today.
I looked outside and he was gone. Or at least I couldn’t see him anywhere. Then, while I was eating, my mind started going crazy with questions. He was nowhere in sight when I drove up. So, he must have seen me get out of my car and go inside. Where was he hiding and was he planning on doing something like abducting me and throwing me in his car? Or making be drive somewhere in my car and raping me? All of this just kind of ruined my lunch that’s for sure. When the waitress came to my table, I told her the whole story and asked her if she knew the guy and she said no. So, I asked her if she would walk me to my car that was right next to the door and she said absolutely. I felt a little safer. I tipped her well and then gave her a hug and a five-dollar bill for helping me out.
Fortunately, there was no sign of the guy. By the time late lunch was done it was pretty much time to head to the ferry terminal. As I arrived at the check in booth and gave the girl all the info she wanted, she gave me a big smile and told me how pretty I was and how much she loved how my hair framed my face. I gave her a big smile back and thanked her. Being a Wednesday late in the day there weren’t that many cars, so we loaded pretty quick. There was not that many people on board either. I found a window seat and the only other person in where I sat was a fairly good-looking guy sitting in the second seat up from me. I wasn’t looking forward to the 1 1/2-hour trip back to Vancouver. There was no talk between us but every time I looked at him, he was already looking at me and would give me a big smile. He was a very attractive guy when he smiled. But eventually we did start talking, him about his family and me about mine. The conversation made the trip pass a lot quicker and when we finally docked we both got up at the same time and as we walked to the stairs, he said to me “you are beautiful”. I smiled and thanked him for talking to me. It was a nice end to a fairly fun 3 days. And as I said at the start it was a learning curve for Trish.
I hope that the Victoria get together becomes a yearly thing. It couldn’t be held in a more beautiful place. But for me it would need to be at least 2 more days . Basically out of the three days I really got 1 1/2 days thanks to the lengthy travel time for me there and back.
But I did learn a lot and met and made a few more girlfriends all of which were from Vancouver,
Love and hugs to you all,
Trish ❤️

Trish ,
I guess the lesson learnt was never enter an empty restaurant , if it’s busy then it must be OK and hopefully safe , still very creepy ! It’s a little strange that the waitress didn’t know of the guy , it’s sounds as if he’s tried that ploy before with others . I was approached myself on my cruise , the guy sat next to me on a lounge sofa , I was checking out a cruise brochure while he chatted for a short while before he asked if I wanted to join him in his cabin . I smiled gently and politely said no thankyou , then I suggested that one of us may need to visit Specsavers ( a UK based opticians ) , with that he mumbled about missing his wife and ambled off . I did see him several times after chatting to women , I can’t say if he managed to score or not !
Thank you for your comments Teresa. Through all of my previous outings I had always felt safe both in Kamloops, Kelowna and Vancouver. But except for a couple of times in Vancouveri had always been with other girl friends. This time it was just me. And you’re right it was creepy.
Trish,
Thank you for telling your girl time with us.
It is amazing the variety of people we come in contact with. In that one afternoon you met two people on opposite sides of the spectrum. I am so happy that the situation never became a problem.
You look so beautiful, and young, it is not surprising that you would attract some attention.
Be safe in Kamloops.
Love,
Jocelyn
Awww, thank you for your lovely comment girl. I had honestly never had that many comments from other women on my outfits and looks. My head was a few sizes bigger after that week end. It is sure affirming if nothing else.
Trish, it sounds like you had a great time but there’s obviously a salutary lesson for all of us there. It’s easy to romanticise the good things about what we do, and there are many, but there’s a darker side too which many of us are unprepared for. I think you handled the situation very well and I hope readers here take note – I certainly did.
We need to hear more from you, it’s always good to read about your exploits!
Thank you for your comment Amanda. I do appreciate them, I’d love to post more but like you things change over time. The yearly girls weekend in Kelowna is no more. Trump has ruined sny thoughts of going to the States for me. I’ve missed two Trans conferences in Washington state. And I will be in guy mode from mid June until late October this year. Then Gwen is gone until April 2027.
