Line, please….
This Ain’t No Foolin’ Around!
I just had to use the single greatest line ever written in a rock song or really, in any capacity, for a post title. Sure, it makes no sense, but who ever said I made a bit of sense. Let’s get into a few very interesting days. Thank you, David Byrne.

2:00PM Superman
Got myself a ticket and went to watch easily the biggest movie I have ever been an active part of, even in a microscopic capacity. As far as I could tell, I did not make the film in any capacity. I was on set for over 12 hours, two scenes, all of which boiled down to about 30-40 seconds of screen time. I absolutely enjoyed the experience, the movie and seeing friends sprinkled throughout. It’s pretty cool to see someone in a move of this capacity and know them and know them well.
Postscript: A few days ago, it dawned on me. I was not involved in two scenes; I was in fact in four scenes. One in particular, there were not many of us, which means…maybe….I am on screen? Now I have to go see the movie again. Additionally, I came to find out one particular scene, which I was not involved with, was filmed in Cleveland and I had no idea. Monitoring associated social media posts, I am very sure I may well know most of the people in this scene and did not catch it initially because they were all in character and I had no clue it was a Cleveland scene, so I was not in tune to watch for friends.
6:30PM Shoulder MRI
Then, dressed as you see here, I had a scheduled MRI. Being in the evening, I was basically the only patient there. The three ladies that took care of me could not have been sweeter! Maybe someday my left arm will be useful again…
9:00PM Superman Extra Cast Party
The very, very full day was capped by a tremendous party held by the Greater Cleveland Film Commission, celebrating the movie and Cleveland’s prominent role in it. I saw friend after friend, made a few new ones and simply could not have been more joyful and happy.

Thank you, Tammey, for the pics, the friendship, the evening and the inspiration!
Tammey is one of those friends whom I got to see IN THE MOVIE and say, I know her.

Up early to do prep for a prostate MRI (if you have ever had one, then you will understand what I am referring to)
8:30AM Prostate MRI
Whoa…scratch all of that! This is why the health care system drives me (and most of us) nuts. For the shoulder MRI, it was done with contrast. Apparently contrast takes 24 hours to run through your system. Why on Earth would the hospital even schedule 2 MRIs within a 24-hour period? That should not even be allowable on their system. Only because I was joking with the ladies about being right back there the next morning did I find this out. Otherwise, I would have gone through with the second MRI, which would not have worked, and no one would have known it until I got in the tube. My day went in another direction, which was fine with me, still feeling the effects of the day prior.
OMG!!!
Every once in a while, I am given a gift. A gift that says keep doing what you are doing. Keep being who you are. A gift that says we live in an amazing time and place. Yeah, yeah, I know, current events may tell everyone otherwise but find the joy! It is absolutely there and let me prove it.
Remember my recent shopping spree at David’s Bridal (with my own horrible hair)? Here is one of the fruits of my great fortune!

Everywhere I went and I do mean everywhere, I was complimented on the dress or the shoes or my overall appearance. Gift no. 1.
I went to a birthday party event for my friend Valerie (Project Runway alumna) with zero expectations. I had been to her store before but did not know what to expect. Getting glammed up was encouraged. Before I hit her store, I stopped across the street at Luxe, a very LGBT friendly bar/restaurant. Lo and behold, the bar was completely full except for one seat and I knew everyone at the bar! I sat next to my friend Tom (thank you Tom, see us at left), who I hadn’t seen in a bit, and he shared his recent Alaska cruise adventure with me. Gift no. 2. An unexpected pleasure!
I boogied across the street to the Valapalooza and met so many amazing human beings. One gentleman, a bit more senior than me, and I chatted for quite a while. Apparently, he knew me (surprise there…). He is what they call an enby (NB, nonbinary). Not my cup of tea, but who am I to judge! Lovely person. Gift no. 3.
My friend, Val, gift no. 4.
I then walked across the hall to Ninja City, There I spoke, laughed, cried, hugged, kissed and spent about an hour and a half with a mother and daughter. Gift no. 5 through 5,000! I completely melted into the women that is buried inside of me. It was amazing. Beth and Alex were so wonderful, I have no words for this encounter except for the frequent tears of joy I experienced and am doing so writing this.
Gift no., where are we, 5,001 was that a nightclub that I stopped at had a cover charge, cash only. Since I carry no cash, I headed home, which was the right thing to have done for my own safety. I had had a few…
Finally, gift no. 5,002 I stopped at th convenience store and saw Cupcake. He always makes me smile!
How ’bout that dress!

Still, it remains remarkable to me how comfortable I am in a dress all day. There is literally never even a thought about it, it just is. Just is right. Just is me.
Gift no. 5,003 to infinity, YOU!

OK, let’s get to the nitty gritty: what are you using to maintain boobage in that dress?
It’s a girl’s secret…
In this case, it is a combination of my actual A cups, the right bra for the dress, tape and the right inserts.
Are they noticeable? 😊
