Bob Seger’s Night Moves album was one of the first albums that pulled me into my lifelong love of music. Sure, Night Moves, Mainstreet and Rock and Roll Never Forgets are the memorable tracks, all nine were perfect. The rare flawless album. But Sunspot Baby still resonates with me and is a good way to pull together the theme of this day. BEACH TIME! [There was no way I was going into Beach Boy territory, not a fan.]

I have decided to go to the beach any and every time possible this year. My ability to do this in the fashion I wish is near its end, so WTF! I know no one really cares, but my life changed for the best once I scrapped my old truck and replaced it with a better old truck, much better. It has brought me back to a lifestyle I had in the early Kandi days with actual free time. Eventually, I will have to fill the hole with some type of work, but for now it’s all about family (specifically our Grandson), training, pickleball and Kandi. In July we are going on an actual vacation, our first probably since 2009. Yeah, I know, I had the luxurious sabbatical in the bucolic hills of West Virginia that was paid for, but it really wasn’t that relaxing… 😕
2026 has been the spring of no spring. Cold longer into the year than usual. Rain upon rain. This was finally the day where the thermometer and my schedule all lined up for an afternoon of relaxation and melting into the woman I always wanted to be. I got some brief work handled (believe it or not, I handle social media and email marketing for the apparel line I still represent), played pickleball and did a bit of yardwork. Temps rose into the 80’s, the sun shone brightly.

I selected this suit since I am still a good 5-7 pounds too fat. When that happens, those pounds sit right on my belly. I was able to hide that belly with this selection.
No real story here. I spent about an hour on the beach, had some fun taking these pictures and headed home. As much as I love going to the beach (and all that goes with it), sitting on the beach is not my strong suit. It would help to have company, but that mostly likely would draw unwanted attention to me. Being the solo artist I am allows me a great ability to move about generally unnoticed, at least by the people that would cause me any trouble. For me the joy was in putting myself together and I cannot explain the thrill of simply being out in public, in front of many, many people, dressed like this. Just the normalcy of all of it still makes me happy to my core.

She packed up her bags and she took off down the road
She left me here stranded with the bills she owed
She gave me a false address
Took off with my American Express
Sunspot baby
She sure had me way outguessed

Hope you had sunscreen on. You have been inside way too long, with bright white skin like that you could pass as a brit.
I lost about 10 pounds recently and I have been tanning in my bikinis lately. Got a new Leopard VS Essential Side-Tie Bikini Bottom to go with the Leopard Bombshell top. Only 15 minutes at a time, don’t want to burn, but getting some awesome lines.
And the Brazilian and front side waxings enhance it all.
I spend quite a bit of time outdoors, whether it’s a couple of hours playing pickleball, running, cutting the grass or walking. Yes, I use sunscreen but mostly I wear long sleeves and often light but long pants. I do this for two reasons. One, melanoma kills people, know those that have lost loved ones to it. Two, Kandi HATES farmers tans, etc… On this day, I walked the beach for a few minutes and spent the rest of the time in the shade. I’ll get my sun on over time! Some of us deal with four seasons and this year, more like three! 🥰
Well for what it’s worth Kandi you look like. A beach bunny. A cute beach bunny in your one piece and very attractive beach bunny in your bikini which is my favourite photo. It’s a good thing there weren’t any life guards although one would be handy to put your sunscreen on your back ðŸ¤
