Akron holds their Pride event in August, August 23, 2025.
My dear friend Chynna invited me to have dinner with her. She doesn’t get out as often as I do, so I always want to help her facilitate an outing however I can do so. Since we were going to Pride, I volunteered to work the Plexus tent for an hour. After that, it meant that I had three hours to kill. Part of that was done doing the photoshoot you will see here, part of that was done imbibing in cocktails prepared by a wonderful, big pour, bartender I found. I spent a good hour sitting on a chair, relaxing, listening to the live music and being seen.
Apparently, I looked good because there was a combination of people (yes, I am aware of the friendliness of the situation) who came up to compliment me and those that, yes, wanted to kiss me. That never happened before and did this day more than once. I obliged!
I won’t go into my combination of joy and revulsion with Pride events. If I never again see anyone in a dog mask (and I saw many) or a leather thong when they had no business doing so in public (again, more than once), I will have lived a good life.
I was happy with my presentation and enjoyed my day. Chy and I had a lovely meal, then grandma went home, and Chy hit the town!

This blog is 1,000% dependent upon click overs from Stana’s wonderful Femulate (NKA Stana’s Way). For some reason, which neither of us can figure out, our daily posts do not post on her Blog List anymore. It is hit and miss. We went five days recently without showing the daily post there. And guess what? Readership here dropped to almost nothing. We literally lose 200-250 readers daily when this link doesn’t work properly (it is probably either a hosting thing, which I have no clue to figure out, or a WordPress issue). I owe everything to Stana for many reasons, but this has been a glass of cold water in my face. Seems my tree is falling, and no one cares. I cannot lie, it was and is tremendously discouraging. If we are to foster a community, we need a community!
This is where readers come from. 41.5% of all readers are referrals and probably almost all of that is from Stana. Lose that and we’re struggling.
If you value what we do here, READ US directly. If not, please let me know and I’ll fade away.

Btw, i love the outfit you wear on the pride, those sandals are to cute and match your dress so lovely….

Thank you for checking dear. The problem is the link, as of the time of this writing, was yesterday’s post, not todays. And it has been going days without updating the post occasionally. When that happens, the link moves down the list and people simply don’t click it. I wish I understood why this happens and why it is causing the loss of readers, but unfortunately, it is. When I wrote this reply, we had 314 readers in the past 24 hours, this used to consistently be over 500.

WordPress does have it’s gltches sometimes , OK I admit I’m guilty of not reading my comments carefully enough but it would be nice to be able to edit our mistakes .

Kandi, I noticed the issue when looking at my list of blog posts on Blogger itself, Kandi’s Land posts weren’t showing there either. Today, I saw all of the past week’s posts, but not today’s. I’ve been going directly to the site to read each day. I hope the problem is resolved, even if you aren’t sure what happened in the first place.
Your sundress and sandals for Akron Pride are wonderful, you look amazing, both with and without the denim jacket. No wonder people wanted to connect with you (kisses count too)!

It might be an RSS feed issue if you are talking about the blogroll on Stana’s site. Check to make sure your RSS feed is outputting your content properly so Stana’s site can pick it up. (yes I was a web developer back in the day). Retired, thankfully.
BTW, I have your site (and Stanas) as a pinned tab on my browser. 😉
