It had already been a busy day on March 23, 2025, but I was not ready to stop enjoying myself. When I got home after my late lunch, I took a few moments to rest before deciding on wearing my new Maggy London dress out to dinner. I also put on the new MeMoi nude hose and shaper, which allowed me to zip up the dress easily without catching the lining.
I needed to redo my makeup and amped up my look for the evening, including my false lashes. I put on my favorite black heels from Christian Siriano and went back to taking pictures.
While the dress is longer than my usual above-the-knee length, its style and pattern has already made it a favorite. Never mind that the original price was $148, and I got it for $16 at Nordstrom Rack. I added a black evening purse from my wife’s collection that was just barely big enough to hold the things I needed for the night.

I had texted my wife of my plan to go out, but not that I was in a dress and heels. She was initially questioning, but when I said I had done all of the household chores (I hadn’t yet) and was too tired to cook for myself, she agreed. The drive to the restaurant was quick, as it is in my city. I was lucky to find a spot on the street across from the restaurant, probably because it was Sunday night.
The restaurant was slightly busy, but there were plenty of seats at the bar. I let the hostess know that I was going there and sat down in the middle. I ordered a glass of red wine and looked at the food menu, which was not really inspiring. I ended up with a salad and added sliced steak to it for some protein. Nothing more really happened, I finished everything, paid my bill, and left for home. I told my wife later that I wasn’t impressed with the restaurant, so we probably won’t go there again. There are several other places on the street that we have interest in trying, so we won’t worry about this one.
After I got home, I relaxed for a bit, talked with my wife on the phone, and then headed upstairs to clean up and start putting everything away. I actually had to do the chores I had promised and get my suitcase packed, as I was joining my wife in Boston for the rest of the week.
I went to bed, back in my nightgown, dreaming of the wonderful day I had just experienced. There were still a few things to finish the next morning, but I was very happy with this day.
“I’d love to turn you on” is the last line of the Beatles song whose title I used for this set of posts. But I always wait for the final piano chord (played on 4 different instruments) and its lengthy fade-out when I listen to the album (Sgt Pepper, of course). It is a simple reminder to me that being out dressed is a form of self-love, but that it fades away as we change back to male mode. Days like this are so rewarding and fulfilling to me. I wish that they could be more regular, but I know that isn’t likely any time soon (I do have 3+ days in a row in late April coming up, which I’m sure will be posted here!).
Hugs, Tina
