I fell for Sheryl Crow when I first heard All I Wanna Do is Have Some Fun. I love everything she has done, particularly her eponymous second album. She is a very deserving Rock Hall inductee. My only regret is that she didn’t get inducted in Cleveland, giving me a chance to meet her. The lyrics kinda speak to me about my life and this day.
I’ve got a crummy job
It don’t pay near enough
To buy the things it’d take
To win me some of your love…
I’m gonna soak up the sun
While it’s still free
I’m gonna soak up the sun
Before it goes out on me

May 27, 2026 began early with a great workout and then some fun pickleball. It was very warm and sunny. The subsequent nine days showed no temp above 72, so I figured it was my best chance at a beach day. I ran a few errands, watered the plants and got about getting my beach girl on! Then I drove the 35 minutes to the beach only to discover the shoreline was overcast and actually chilly. There were very few beachcombers there. But as I have said, there is nothing better than walking in a swimsuit in public. As is often the case, I spent more time commuting than being wherever I went. Is what it is.
I went again with a one-piece as I am still too chunky to don a bikini. I am progressing and once I see the real hot temps, I will stop eating for a few days to make everything work as I have a few cute bikinis that will make that sacrifice worthwhile! I am me, don’t do what I do, I get away with shit…
Quick story, a lady I play pickleball with always shows up with a pride bag for her gear. I felt comfortable outing myself to her and we are now Facebook friends. Good move on my part and it always feel like a great release to open oneself up like that. Here was my brief day on the beach. The title of the post was not exactly accurate, but you all get the point. Leave home, lay on the beach a bit, take pictures, return home. Wash, rinse and repeat…be. If only the beach were closer or there was a public pool I could use without a membership.

Hey, every adventure posts here can’t be a Picasso!
Approach everyone with an open heart.

I’m gonna soak up the sun
I’m gonna tell everyone to lighten up (to lighten up)
I’m gonna tell ’em that I’ve got no one to blame
For every time I feel lame, I’m lookin’ up (I’m lookin’ up)
I’m gonna soak up the sun
I got my 45 on, so I can rock on

My top crossdressing makeup tip. It was an absolute game changer from the very first time I tried it. The trick is to get as thin of a layer as possible, otherwise it’ll look cakey. Use a makeup sponge to remove excess and blend the edges. By the way, I love that picture of myself, but that’s not why I picked it. The triangle is easier to see if I’m not smiling, which is the case for most of my pictures.
