Out and About!

By the Enigma…Sherry Greer, aka BFF!

My wife planned a long weekend of gambling ♠️♥️♦️♣️with her friend so that meant I was ready to get out! I made a few tentative plans well in advance as I am not a good “wing it” kind of person when it comes to Sherry. Also, mine and Kandi’s good friend Jocelyn was making her way through Cleveland so I got to see her (Kandi already detailed her outings with her).

On Friday, Valentine’s Day, I hurried home from work to get ready and meet my friend Kelly who I met at a Meetup group. We met in Cuyahoga Falls which is a place I frequent (Kandi too) because it just has a nice vibe! We had dinner and then listened to a band and did some dancing. There was a Meetup group there and I recognized a couple people whom I’ve gone out with before and we talked and got caught up with how we all were doing. There was also a woman there that is associated with my work that doesn’t know about Sherry, at one point we were in close proximity while dancing! Kelly and I had a wonderful time and after almost 4 hours together said our goodbyes and gave hugs! It was a wonderful night!!

On Saturday I met up with Susanne and her girlfriend Liz. Again, we were doing the dinner and dance night. We met at a bar within walking distance of the dance place and had a couple drinks and an appetizer. Again, good conversation and fit right in! We made our way to the dance place and they had a DJ. It was a Goth theme. Obviously, I’ve seen people in Goth before but never in close proximity. I thought to myself “well, that’s kinda weird” but then again, I’m sure people think I’m weird!

So bottom line, just love each other and let people be who they are ❤️. After about 30 minutes Liz started to feel sick and they had to leave. Since the night was pretty young still I went to a place called Club Impulse, they always have a band/DJ on the weekends. I’ve been there before and had a great time. As I was walking in two women were waiting and one complimented my dress and the other said I was gorgeous! I definitely thanked them and had a big smile on my face. I sat down at the bar and ordered a drink. The male bartender told me my dress “really popped”.

After a bit I made my way to the dance floor for a line dance. There weren’t a lot of people on the dance floor so a woman and I started dancing in sync together and feeding off each other. After we were done we gave each other a “high five”. It was a good moment of acceptance! I stayed for a bit more before leaving. This club is in a Holiday Inn so there’s a covered area at the front door to pull your car around. As I walked out of the front door there were two women and a man out there smoking, after passing them one woman yelled to me “hey, you have balls”, I did stop and turned around and asked What? They said never mind. I got in my car and pulled back around to the front door where they were and rolled down my window to say something to her but she could barely stand because she was so drunk. At that point I just drove off. I figured I was still ahead…3 positive comments to one negative!

On Sunday I met Jocelyn for dinner at a restaurant in Chagrin Falls, this also has a good vibe and is beautiful in the summer. The weather was extremely snowy but we both made it. We both had a good time talking about various things and getting caught up. We were there for a few hours and it was so nice to just blend in. Hopefully we can meet up on her return trip!

So, a good weekend! Next time out I will be helping at the fashion show that Kandi is walking in. Should be fun.
