I never have and never will put together a better outfit. It was perfection and fit me to a tee!
November 14, 2025, Friday evening at The Lake Erie Gala. As I have done now three years running, I have hosted a dinner, and I invite as many ladies as possible. The number of dinner guests was down this year because a few great friends could not be there and a few others attended a cowgirl dinner thrown by the event itself. I am usually an interloper, not really participating in any of the events or seminars at the gala, instead doing my thing and drinking like a fish…

Thank you to my beautiful friends, literally inside and out, for your good humor, warmth, kindness, and for putting up with me. After dinner, I hung at the bar and continued creating memory after memory, laugh after laugh, smile after smile.
Now to the outfit, inspired by a drop-dead gorgeous woman recently seen at the HRC event. She wore a long blazer, short shirt, over-the-knee boots and tights. Oh yeah, she could make a potato sack look beautiful anyway. This was my spin on that outfit, obviously going short jacket and black swede slouch boots. The necklace stack and belt were the cherries on top. There is an amazing high when you walk through a public place looking this well put together. I was absolutely noticed by people for the best possible reasons.

Postscript: Before our dinner, I was trying to get a photo shoot with the photographer at the event. She was not there, so I forgot about it. She is a friend. I saw her later that night at the bar, after dinner and a few libations. We did a shoot. Mistake! Not that I did the shoot, but that I paid for it. Big mistake. I look awful (not her fault). I will share a few of the salvageable pictures here. My sober selfie pics above are so much better than my bourbon-soaked photo shoot pics. Just the facts, ma’am.
