I read the news today, oh boy
About a lucky man who made the grade
And though the news was rather sad
Well, I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph
There are times when I just need to let the pictures speak for themselves.
(This is where Kan-Dee adds the editor’s note that she will take as many pictures of Michelle as possible, so I will save her the trouble).
Michelle, Linette, Maura and I entered the Fabulous Fox and we all pulled out our phones and started posing with the magnificent backdrops. The Fox was built in the late 1920’s and restored in the 1970’s and has hosted musicals, concerts, and comedians since, and is a relic of a grand area.
The band doing the Beatles covers were good, and they had the obligatory costume changes to reflect the evolving music and clothing styles of the turbulent 1960’s, from suits to psychedelica. As the night went on, our Fab Four, as well as many in the audience, began to dance and sing along to the songs we’ve heard all our lives. I had a running conversation with the cute 25 y/o young woman sitting next to me, and she loved the Beatles as much as we did.
Fun night, fabulous locale, fantastic friends, Fab Four for the Fab Four.
A fabulous day in MY life.

I remember the Fox well. Sometimes looking at the decor was the best entertainment.
My fav was Monday nights at the Fox. A classic movie, usually a musical, with the organ coming up from below the stage.
I saw Robin Williams and Bobby McFerrin there. Robin was being heckled and dared the guy to come on stage and do his bit. The guy did. Robin gave the guy some pointers. Truly amazing.
And of course you 4 look great!
Everyone looks fantastic! You all had so much fun posing in the theater.
Wow, what an amazing day for that Fab Four! You girls couldn’t have picked a better venue as a back drop. It was amazing and you and the other girls were amazing. The photo’s pretty much tell it all Dee, this was one for the memory bank that’s for sure
Trish ❤️
Thanks ladies!
It is an amazing venue. I’ve been there four times in Dee mode and enjoyed all of the shows.
Such lovely pictures and I’m so glad you all had fun. My wife and I have seen tens of Fab Four shows, going back to 2002, when they played weekend nights at the Tomorrowland Terrace at Disneyland. The last time we saw the FF was when they came to our town last year. Tonus, they are the best Beatles tribute group out there and it’s always encouraging to see the younglings come out and enjoy their music. As for me and my wife, we are early Gen-X’ers. My wife was born around the “Help!” era and I came around a month after they released the so-called “White Album,” so we didn’t appreciate their works until we were young enough to remember who they were. So it’s wonderful to get a glimpse of how it was being there when they still played live – even if the FF play songs not meant to be played live (which still impresses me to this day).
And now we know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall.
