Off the final Led Zeppelin album, 1979’s In Through the Out Door, just a gorgeous song. I am writing this from memory, only Googling for a few facts. The song was written by Robert Plant to mourn the loss of his five-year-old son Karac, who died two years prior from an infection while Plant was on tour.
All of my love, all of my love
Oh, all of my love to you now
All of my love, all of my love
Oh, all of my love to you now
Back to present day and a delightful afternoon helping with Frocktails, this October 18, 2026. I got to be the hostess of the VIP section, right in my sweet spot.
This made me happy. I am friends with the gentleman who runs this website Cool Cleveland, having done so almost since the internet was invented by Al Gore(ithym). World’s colliding! I am obviously associated with the event.

The day was amazing! This is the truth. At an event, there is no person on the planet that you would want involved more than me. I pretty much spoke to every single patron, most at length, most they initiated the conversation. I have a gift, it appears, to make anyone feel comfortable, welcomed. Many, many of them I either complimented them on their apparel, most of which they created themselves or they asked me if I made my dress (happened more than once). My reply was that Mr. Klein (I was wearing Calvin) handled my dress. While I had no idea we were doing this, we apparently were doing a little runway thing. One lady, who create an amazing jacket, asked me to walk it. Sure! What a high!!

So I got an unexpected little runway walk! BTW, this is yet another an event I am involved with where I am the single Caucasian person associated. I am THRILLED to be that one white person. Also, I am a very welcomed person by all there. My transness is so much a nonissue, it is almost taken for granted. My whiteness, my being old and decrepit, all nonissues. That all of that, is awesome.

Side story… This dress and three others, all Calvins, all in my size, were gifted to me by a great, great, great friend. Mimi is a fellow actress, whom I met on set for the Sugarcreek Amish Mysteries. She herself has dealt with numerous cancer issues. Her husband had a brain tumor. I finally was able to wear one of the dresses and sent her a picture. She immediately got back, happy that I had texted, but broke the news her husband had passed. Broke my heart, she is simply an amzing human.

Just Another Day (Thankfully)
A nice and easy day.
I hadn’t volunteered in a while for Weathervane Theater. No reason, just my schedule never worked out, but on August 4, 2022 I went back to work a shift as a bartender.

I was pretty pleased with my outfit, loving this dollar skirt. I just let the day sort of happen, instead of over-planning it.
We started out at Ulta. I have a pretty cool photoshoot coming up, so I wanted to get some advice about dealing with those giant bags under my eyes. The lovely SA, with whom I have talked to before, gave me something that should work. Father Time, we all know, is undefeated, but if I can stave him off a bit, all the better.
I then drove to Summit Mall, where I enjoy just walking around. I hit a few of my usual places, clearance jewelry at Macy’s, the same at Dillard’s and the winding down of their semi-annual lingerie sale. I found what I believe will be the perfect dress for the Erie Gala upcoming at Windsor, it was $15 and it fit like it was made for me. You’ll see it one of these days.

I then met Sherry for a few drinks. You remember Sherry, she used to post here. She is one of my best friends, nonetheless, I always enjoy her company and just talking. I also was able to spend some time getting caught up with my favorite bartender, Karen about recent goings-on. She is such a good friend. Well after three Manhattans (one too many) and a pizza, it was off to “work”. [2026 update: I stand by every word here.]
I really don’t have much more of a tale to spin. Great people. Some laughs and home I went! That half pizza was all I had eaten all day (this girl is getting fat), so I hit McDonald’s on my way home. They have the best ice cream cones!
Just another day in my life, a good one, filled with friends, and me just being, well, me.
