This song was all over the radio (and how ever the youngins listen to music these days) in 2017. The band is Portugal. The Man. And yes, I have seen them in concert! The song has a familiar feel primarily because it uses a famous bassline and vocal rhythm heavily inspired by the 1961 Motown classic “Please Mr. Postman” by The Marvelettes. . The band actually gives songwriting credit to Motown legend Brian Holland for this rhythmic and melodic interpolation.

And after a brief Kandi shutdown due to a wicked case of poison ivy, I was feeling it…still. July 2, 2026, I made an appointment with my “technology therapist” who helped me clean up all the ads on the blog. I made a decision to get rid of most of the ads with the hope that by doing so, I get more traffic. That means I will probably have to come out of pocket for most of the costs of having a blog. If it means more eyeballs, I am happy to do so. If not, I will play out the string for what I have already paid for than then shut it all down. I would just use Facebook to scratch my itch to talk about my outings, I am hopeful this will make a difference.
Afterward, I hit a JC Penney and simply killed it saving almost $550 on nine things, including some amazing dresses, skirts and slacks. Pink ticketed items were on $5 clearance. I thoroughly enjoyed trying everything on in the fitting room. I cannot imagine having more fun. The heat was brutal, near 100 degrees, so I did a quick walk through the mall and headed home, very happy to have gotten out.

Saw one of my very favorite bands, Collective Soul, last week. Incredible! Solid show, reasonably priced, one great song after another.

After you first mentioned contacting poison ivy , I checked if we have it in the UK , it appears not but since I’ve discovered many plants we need to avoid , eating meat doesn’t appear so bad after all !
I hope your plan works and Kandi’s Land does attract more readers , yes the ads do drive us all bananas at times , I still don’t understand why this wonderful site doesn’t attract more people .

I sorry about you poison ivy. I went camping with my first wife at a lake. We went fishing off a rock surround my plants. Those plants turned out to be poison ivy. I’m immune but that wife wasn’t, she got quarter size blisters all over her arms and legs. Me nothing.
