Sadly, the film festival drew to its conclusion, April 5, 2025. I did not work the final day and had the entire day to myself. I played pickleball, did the grocery shopping, continued work on an on-going landscaping project and then got ready. I was in no particular hurry; I just enjoyed the process. I wanted to see one particular movie but also wanted to be in the staff picture. I could not do both. The evening consisted of watching a few shorts, being in the picture, spending time with new friends and generally just being amazingly happy.
This day there were two fabulous interactions.
In the morning, well before I got ready, I stopped at CVS to pick up a prescription. At the drive thru, the wonderful woman, with whom I have had numerous interactions and conversations as Kandi, had no idea who I was. But she complimented (male) me on my nails. I then told her to wait to see me later and then reminded her of who I am. Renee asked me to come back when I was dressed. So, on my way to CIFF, I stopped. There was one customer that she was taking care of, but you could see her light up when she saw me. Well, as is SOP with me, hugs ensued! I was rewarded for being who I am yet again.
Over the course of the festival, I tend to make friendships with various patrons. Debby is one of those. We saw each other a few times and she always went out of her way to talk to me. When the shorts program ended and the lights came up, she spotted me and came right over. Debby, not knowing if she would see me, gave me a gift. A small bag of vintage jewelry she thought I might like! How sweet of her. We sat and chatted and then went to get a drink, me wine, her iced tea. We sat and talked for close to an hour. That is us at left. Hugs and phone numbers were exchanged.

My original intention was to attend the closing party, but I had at least two hours to kill before it started. That would have meant drinking somewhere to kill time to the go to the party to drink. It was bedtime for me, so we headed home.

Let’s play “Where’s Waldo?”. Can you find me?

Feeling my oats a bit, I did a little impromptu photo shoot when I got back home, before turning back into a pumpkin. There were quite a few more, but I did say in a previous post, I am a lady.

Think Cinderella was happy?
This completes a very long run of events and outings, Keystone, CIFF, Plexus, MIX, whew… Time to catch my breath, there really is nothing on the immediate horizon.
As we close the books on these few eventful weeks, for the next three days we will be “Tina’s Land“. An incredibly touching few posts from our dear friend. Please come back and support her.
