šŸŽ A Powerful Gift for You as We Step into 2025Ā

This is a long post. Please donā€™t disregard it. Itā€™s my gift to you. Read it only when you have time to focus on what Iā€™m teaching. Ā

People often ask me what Iā€™m a doctor of, and today, I want to share a lesson rooted in one of my favorite stories. Itā€™s from the Bible, Judges 16: the story of Samson and Delilah.Ā

This story isnā€™t just historicalā€”itā€™s a powerful metaphor for your life, especially as we move into 2025. Let me take you through it step by step because thereā€™s a life-changing lesson here.

Samson was a man of incredible strength, so powerful that the entire Philistine army couldnā€™t overtake the Israelites because he stood in their way. His strength came from his hairā€”a symbol of the divine gift within each of us.

Yes, even if youā€™re bald, the metaphor holds true: you have a capacity for strength and creativity that no external force can overcome when you stand in your authentic self, your ā€œSamson self.ā€

But hereā€™s where the story turns: The Philistines, unable to defeat Samson directly, sent a secret weaponā€”Delilah. She didnā€™t knock on Samsonā€™s door saying, ā€œIā€™m here to destroy you.ā€

Instead, she whispered seductively, played games with his mind, and earned his trust. Samson, though powerful, began to entertain her.

He toyed with her, spending time with her and listening to her voice. Does this sound familiar? When fear and doubt knock on your mindā€™s door, they donā€™t announce themselves as destroyers.

They come disguised as protectors, saying things like: ā€œStay safe. Donā€™t take that risk.ā€ ā€œRemember how you failed before? Letā€™s not try that again.ā€ ā€œYouā€™re not good enough for this dream.ā€ These seductive thoughtsā€”your ā€œDelilahsā€ā€”are just as dangerous.

Back to Samson.

After Delilah earned his trust, she asked him repeatedly for the secret of his strength. At first, Samson resisted. But over time, he became intoxicated with her presence.

One night, he told her the truth: ā€œItā€™s my hair.ā€ While he slept, Delilah called the guards, and they cut his hair. His strength left him.

When Samson woke, he was bound, blinded, and chained to a millstone, endlessly walking in circles.

Letā€™s pause here because the metaphor is clear: When you entertain your own Delilahsā€”fear, doubt, or toxic thoughtsā€”you lose your vision. You become bound by limiting beliefs and stuck in a cycle, going in circles without making progress.

But this isnā€™t the end of Samsonā€™s story. And itā€™s not the end of yours. Samsonā€™s hair grew back. His strength returned. He remembered who he was and reconnected with his source. He broke free, and you can too.

Hereā€™s the Lesson for 2025:

1ļøāƒ£ Recognize your Delilahs. Who or what in your life whispers doubt, fear, or unworthiness into your mind? These thoughts donā€™t announce their destructive intentā€”they disguise themselves as caution or safety. But their goal is to disconnect you from your power.

2ļøāƒ£ Reclaim your Samson strength. Your true power comes from knowing who you are and whose you are. The divine has already equipped you with everything you need to create the life you want.

3ļøāƒ£ Write your vision. Write a 6-month vision for 2025. Dream big! If time, money, or past failures werenā€™t factors, what would your life look like? Most people fail because they set goals too small and hit them. Donā€™t let that be you.

4ļøāƒ£ Call out fear. Fear is False Evidence Appearing Real. It shows up at the border of your current reality, especially when youā€™re stepping into something greater. Recognize it, name it, and refuse to entertain it.

5ļøāƒ£ Act with faith. Faith isnā€™t about knowing how everything will happenā€”itā€™s about believing in your vision and taking small steps every day. Feed your faith, and starve your fear.

Remember, like Samson, your strength is never truly gone. You can always reconnect with your source and rebuild. But it starts with recognizing and releasing your Delilahs.

So, hereā€™s my challenge to you for 2025:

Stop entertaining the doubts that disconnect you from your greatness. Reclaim your vision and step into your Samson strength.

Dream bigger, aim higher, and remember that you were created to live abundantly.

When you align with your authentic self, no external force can hold you back. Letā€™s make 2025 the year we stop walking in circles and start breaking free. If youā€™re ready to step into your power, drop a  in the comments.

Letā€™s claim our greatness together!

  1. Gwen,
At some point in our lives we may also be a Delilah without realising it , do we always give the best advice did we really need to say certain things , whose interest did we really have at heart ? I know I’m not a malicious person perhaps more thoughtless or tactless at times .

Do we find friends turn into Delilahs ? Personally I’ve been hurt far more by transgender friends , at the time it hurt to gradually cut them off but you begin to realise your life is better without them . My analogy is I’m happily swimming along and suddenly someone grabs you by your ankles and pulls me under to be dragged back to a place I’d fought to escape from .
I do have a clear vision as I’m involved in groups that rely on me , I have to plan ahead to accommodate them .

We need fear to survive so we have to resolve the necessary from the irrational ones . (as I discovered when learning to ski !!)
