June 30, 2023 Lake County LGBTQ+ Allies held an End of Pride Month Soiree at The Holden Arboretum. I, of course, overdressed for the event (I thought it was indoors). The whole evening was so delightful! I got to spend time with Sherry (you remember her, she used to share with us here……I miss that), saw our great friend Betty and a few other friends, and made a few new ones.
The event can be summarized in the photos I took.
On my way home, I stopped at a quaint wine bar and chatted up the bartenders and staff, while I had a nightcap, okay nightcaps. It was just me being mice elf agin!

That dress was acquired in my most recent trip to sell a bunch of stuff for store credit and then buy whatever I want with credits accumulated. It is my ongoing whittling of the wardrobe while still bringing in things “new to me” (but not new). I got out in her within about two weeks of acquisition (rare for me) and two days after she had her day in the sun, she has already been resold for more store credit. One and done baby!

It is almost as pretty as the girl wearing it. Hopefully I’ll be at Diva Las Vegas in October. Only 12 more sleeps until I see the surgeon. Keep your fingers crossed for me girl.
As always, Kandi, you look fabulous and I love the dress. I miss hearing from Sherry too, her pink sandals are fierce! Being “Mice Elf” is such an amazing feeling on the (extremely) rare occasion that I get out. I hope your feelings on this never diminish, my friend!
